Brothers? More like bothers. Sisters? Well I'll let the book, Sisters, tell you about that. This fascinating story by Raina Telegmeier is intriguing in so many ways. She thoroughly describes life with a sister. Personally, I think Raina put a spectacular twist on the average autobiography by not only making it into a comic book, but also making it a comic book suitable for kids and adults. This book is definitely on the must-read list.  

At the beginning of the book, Raina's family is at the dinner table, talking about a week-long camping trip they are going on, when Raina and Amara break out into a fight. At the end of this scene, Raina and Amara are putting their dishes in the kitchen when Raina yells, "WHY DID I EVER ASK FOR A SISTER." then it goes into a flashback about why she had asked for a sister in the first place. I liked this part because it displays the typical reason people want siblings. When Raina's family begins "The Journey of a Lifetime", Will (Raina's little brother) and Amara are fighting over the front seat. Raina knows this is going to a "fun" trip. 

Amara and Raina are best friends! Not. Like all siblings, they are sworn enemies. Amara is nine years old in the book while Raina is fourteen. They are both very artistic and talented. I like Amara because she is not afraid to fight for what she believes in. Like her sister, she has fiery passion for anything art related. At the end of the book, there is a photo gallery and Amara had won an art contest and Raina was very jealous. But Amara is just creative and that is why she is my favorite character.

In conclusion, I would like to thank Raina Telegmeier for writing such a wonderful book. A story such as this deserves more awards than it already has. An absolute five stars! This book is definitely something everyone should read.
