The Crossover by Kwame Alexander
This novel is a story of brotherhood and family, that is based on Josh, JB, and Chuck ‘Da Man’ Bell. The Crossover is a realistic fictional, novel-in-verse story that has won the John Newbery award and the Coretta Scott King Award. In this nail-biting novel, the author has twist and turns throughout the magnificent book.
Josh and JB are twin brothers that love and play basketball. There dad, Chuck, was once a NBA player, but quit for medical reasons. You will soon fall in love with each character as you read.
The author, Kwame Alexander, wrote the novel different than other books. I never really liked poetry, but the author changed my point of view when I read The Crossover.
Josh is the main character in this novel. As things start to go downhill in the book, you get to see how Josh feels and what roads he goes down. But you have to read you book to find out.
If I were to rate this book, I’d give it 5 stars. In this striking, marvelous book, you will want to be in this stunning novel yourself. You should definitely look for this book in your local library.
