Music plays a huge role in everyone's life. It doesn't matter where you come from or who you are, music has some part in your life. Music can and does a lot for people. It can be a form of expression or just a way to escape or relax. Music is truly wonderful. The movie “Sing” really expresses that. For that reason, I would strongly recommend this movie to anyone and everyone that likes music or just wants to watch a fun and entertaining movie. This movie spans many music genres including Pop, Rock, and Jazz so it appeals to everyone. I may be getting ahead of myself here. First I have to introduce the characters.

The first character you're introduced to and in my opinion, the most important character is Buster Moon. Buster Moon is the most important character in this film because he brings everyone and everything together into one central theme. He started as a poor kid who just wanted to own a theater. His dad worked his butt off and got the theater for him. Now, years later, he's in financial trouble and may lose the theater. He has one last chance to put on a great show and make enough money to save the theater. He starts recruiting talented singers. He recruits many people including Rosita, Johnny, Ash, and Gunter from very different lifestyles, from housewives to wanted criminals. It brings such a level of diversity through the different music types and characters which really makes this movie shine.

I also think this movie is great because of all the little sub-stories. I won’t get into them too much because I don't want to spoil them, so I'll just tell you why I like them. These side stories are very well done. Every side story adds a lot of personality and life to each and every character. There is so much detail added to them that they are just as good if not even better than the main story. The whole movie is very funny and entertaining but I think some of these side stories really top the cake for humor in this movie. I also think that they help flesh out the film and tie everything together. The side stories are my favorite part of the movie and they really help the movie be great.

Now for the main plot. The crème de la crème of animated movie plots. The climactic rise to fame for Buster Moon and the crew is truly inspiring. This movie teaches you that you can do anything no matter what bad situation you may be in. It truly inspires you to do something great. I have seen a lot of movies, some good, and some bad, but they all had some sort of message. Some were almost thrown at you others were hidden behind convoluted and complicated storylines. Sings's message wasn't really said to you but everyone that's watched it could feel it and I bet it stayed with them for a long time.

I think everybody should see this movie at some point in their life. In my opinion, this animated movie may be nearly a masterpiece. For that reason, I believe everyone from people who like pop music to people who like rock music, to people who don't like music very much at all should watch this film and experience this masterpiece of animation. The very talented director and voice actors did a wonderful job here and I hope for more movies from them in the future. To finish, I think this movie is a cinematic masterpiece and everyone should watch it.
