Review On
When I first heard about the movie Waves it sounded like something I would never watch—sappy and dramatic. I cannot stand movies about high school. They are too overdone and corny. But waves changed my perspective since the second it ended. Available on Hulu, Netflix, and Prime Video this film is full of twists and heartbreak.
The film starts off with a well off young man that has everything that a high school boy would want:popularity, friends, a girlfriend. Until his life changes for the worse…forever.
I am shocked by where the directors and writers went with this film in the plot. The way they used character development and great acting to let the audience know what they are feeling and how they are feeling is what sets this film apart from others.
The scenes flowed so well with the plot and the twists and suspense really made this movie special. I was engaged the whole time with this film and felt like I was there with the characters going through things with them.
The reliability and realism of the story makes this film special, the characters portray the realism of real highschool students in a way that no other film can, the emotions feel real and, the shock factor make this film so special, the twists in this story can happen anyone in the real world from the breakdown to the , as a student in highschool I can find this film relatable with real situations like this happening to me, and around me.
