America's Got Talent
A new season of America’s Got Talent is just beginning. They’ve got some pretty amazing acts; comedians, dancers, magicians, just to name a few. There was one act that really triggered something in me. A 74 year old man, Frank Dmitri, sang a song by Frank Sinatra, and he was awesome. But it wasn’t the song that I liked him for; it was his story that I really connected to.
Frank always loved singing, but he had a stutter that affected his confidence. So instead of pursuing his dream when he was younger, he got a job as a bartender. But today, at the age of 74, he finally showed himself to the world.
I was really inspired by Frank Dmitri’s story, because I too stutter. Sometimes it gets so bad, that I just give up on myself. Frank showed me that no matter how bad it may seem, I may still be able to accomplish great things. I wish I can thank him for this lesson.
