Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic

Critically acclaimed as one of the best Star wars games ever made, Star Wars Knights of the Old republic receives over forty game of the year awards. Star Wars Knights of the Old republic or (SWKOTOR for short) was developed by Bioware and published by Lucas Arts.

SWKOTOR is based upon the Role playing style of gaming and combat is based upon turn order. Four Thousand years before the Galactic Empire and the rise of Darth Vader thousands of Jedi have fallen in battle against the Sith, where you must pick between good and evil, learn and master the ways of the Force to save the republic. At the start of the game you pick between three character classes that determine your role and attributes in the game, which at first alter your abilities but ultimately it all ends up similar at the end. This is not a bad thing it’s just eventually you become so powerful at the end of the game it is hard to not develop all of your skills.

In this game you are free to choose your own path up to a limit and free to carefully sort out your skills and attributes that affect your gameplay. This style of gaming is rewarding because it allows a gamer to feel as if he controls the game himself which he does but not entirely.

Unfortunately in this game the plot is set between two different alteration based on your good or bad decisions. I would like to more freely explore these planets and scenes made but alas you cannot. There is also many cases in the game that you are
presented with which would be awesome to do but you are not free to go and do.

There is no way I can say this game is borning or flawed I had a hard time figuring out what I didn’t like about this game because I absolutely love it! I grew up playing this game and I loved seeing all this story and work put into the game. SWKOTOR has capture my imagination and inspired my life into what I am now. SWKOTOR is hard just to play one time you must play it at least twice, every time I go back I find that I missed something big.

All in all SWKOTOR is worth your time buying. It’s a little older but still offers great story, and will go down as my favorite game of all time.
