The drizzle grew into a pour. Kei staggered out of the alley dragging one foot behind her and clutching her side with one hand. Her hair stuck to her skull like glue and her face contorted with pain. Clenching her jaw as to not scream out in pain, she held up the gun.
"I'm doing this..." she whispered "...because I love you!" she screamed. the two boys whipped around as the smell of gunpowder pierced the air.
