Yesterday and Yesterday and Yesterday
Yesterday and Yesterday and Yesterday
Creeps into this petty place from voting day
Til the last counting of recorded ballots.
And all our votes led fools the way to political death.
Out, out, brief caucus, election is but a corrupt shadow,
A rich candidate who struts and frets his hour during debates
Then is heard no more.
It is a tale told by Congress,
Full of Democrats and Republicans ,
Signifying nothing.
