Unspoken Words: There it goes
There it goes.
My only chance to tell you.
It was there for a second,
like a shooting star,
then disappeared.
My heart jumped,
and reached out for it,
yet I missed, and fell back down with a thud.
All the things I keep meaning to tell you
are blown away, opportunity missed.
I wish you could stop and listen,
and give me another opportunity to tell you.
Yet life rarely gives you another chance.
Life tells me that I just need to be brave.
Maybe it's not that I never learned to be brave,
but that you never learned to be shy?
I really want to tell you, but you didn't know.
You just moved past so quickly.
I feel like shouting wait,
but it's just too late.
I can feel it.
So I sigh, and let it pass,
but really,
It stays with me, and is waiting for a second chance.
