As Long As...

How I love to laugh
In the place of life
Where we frolic and play
To our hearts’ content
But I feel that someone is missing
Who should be by my side
Then I feel agonized
For no reason at all
And my happiness has vanished
And so has my joy
I wanted to have that happy back
To invite that person
to stand with me
I know when I do
that joy will return
And when I invite him
I feel that happiness and joy
But so much better than before
And I know this feeling
will never leave
As long as he is by my side.
