Never play with fire
Words not enough to dampen his desire
Glancing around if he was safe from watchful eyes
And the flames rose higher

Beauty is in the eyes of its beholder
And he was entranced, in charring smolder
Step forward, heat beats his face yet
Only his soul grows colder

Pluck one dandelion, eyes never leave flame
Just a child, he knows not this is evils game
Dancing he did under night sky
This blazing wonder he vowed to tame

His Dandelion he dipped in light
Much to his loosened childhood delight
Yellow curling turned to gray dust
Last child wonder chased embers into the night

Pulled away last innocence on a scalded draft
The embers fell into lights shaft
He understood the beauty in scorched October snow
Wonder of fire fell away. And he laughed

Wow. Something I've noticed with your poetry is that you have a knack for unique metaphor and rhyme scheme, but that the flow is a little awkward. If you fixed that, your poetry would be great. Its already pretty good. Keep writing. I'll keep reading.
