When Life Goes By
Who’s ever heard the ticking of the clock,
Constant and in unison we think I wish it would stop,
What if one day it did and we lost the sense of all consciousness,
What would we do then, sit around and let our lives collapse,
Let every thing end in a second,
Who has family, friends, and lovers,
Would you just let it all end?
Why just throw our lives away,
When everything could get better,
Why just sit and do nothing day after day,
What if you got a letter,
That told you your lover died,
Are you going to just sit and reminisce,
Or are you going to sit in the dark and cry,
Life is much more then just eternal bliss,
So all I can do is just ask, Why?
