Enigma
Everyday, I ask myself the same questions
Never do they change, these inquiry sessions
I guess that I just want to know
Guessing why, why you chose
Me to love, if I was "sick?"
A person without remorse, who hurt you "just for kicks?"
Except that I didn't, as I'm sure you know
I was in pain, as well, because I knew,
That I'd never get you
My love is an enigma: Why try,
When you know you'll never get what you want most in life?

Special-format poem: The first letter of the first six lines spells "enigma."
Just another love poem, I guess.
