Another Day at the Office
Stay frosty he said,
Low but discrete,
Engraving as the bullet,
Which singed threw my teeth.
Metallic it was,
The taste of warm blood.
The streaming red liquid,
That started to flood.
On into the hall it fell,
Which held the enemy,
Who started to yell.
Yelling for what he had done,
Killing an American solider.
His battle had been won.
In a circle like gesture,
My world started to spin,
Yelling were my men,
Dropping God a couple of sins.
My eyes burned,
As they wanted to close.
All my dreams, hopes, and thoughts.
Were so cold, shivering,
Until they froze.
