Pretend
I will pretend that your kiss,
Never layed upon my lips.
I'll forget the way you held me,
For what I thought was right, had been wrong.
I can't remind myself of the times,
You whispered, "You're mine.",
Because I simply wasn't.
I'll never think of the day,
You silently left me without a second look.
I will forget the way your name rolled off my tounge.
As It was my way of knowing you were real.
I will pretend you've never promised me anything,
because all of my wishes,
and all of your promises,
have never come true.
I can never remember your face,
For it will only hurt more.
I shall pretend I've never felt your touch,
Even though it was the only thing that could warm me.
I've been forgotten,
But why can't I forget you?..
