Irony and Love
The marks on my neck,
The phone that I check -
All these reminders of you, and they won't go away,
But maybe because I want them to stay...
I can't get you out of my life, out of my mind;
I wanna be with you all the time.
But you're over there, and I don't even know
Whether you care, or where you wanna go.
A second chance, another try -
This thing, it seems, will never die.
I won't let it fade, even if you do -
Things stay alive if you want them to...
You want me back; you ask for more,
Then you turn and slam the door.
You can't choose one, can't make up your mind,
And baby, now you're out of time.
You had a chance with me, you know,
But then you chose to let me go.
Now you want her, but she doesn't want you,
And you just don't know what you should do.
I think if you put all your problems aside,
You'd find it ironic, if you realized,
The only girl who loves you now...
Is the one you never think about.
