In The Dark
I've been wandering around in the dark,
I've felt lost from the very start,
Love is so hard to find,
Because the darkness keeps me in a bind,
I try to climb the walls it constructs,
But when I try the wall self-destructs,
Just to leave another in its place,
I can feel the tears as they roll down my face,
I hate those walls so bad I can taste it,
But I need my energy so I cannot waste it,
I must put my sorrow on a shelf,
And then look deep inside myself,
To find a way out of the dark.
