A Summer To Be
The summer to be, just you and me
Outside seated under the Mulberry tree
Laying in the parks freshly cut grass
Hours and days seemed to pass
The secret place my mind goes to flee
Here in my imagination resides a key
The truth about what happened to you and me
The answer lies in my locket of brass
A secret dark past lies within me
The summer began full of glee
We dotted our "i" and crossed our "t"
Along the way I lost some class
We need a way to destroy this unwanted mass
Unable to pay an unmentionable fee
A secret dark past lies within me
