Life of lies
Riding hard through the trees,
trying to escape my past
The sound of my own horse's hooves give me unease.
But I continue on my journey fast.
I don't know where I will go.
Forced to roam
The guards ride after me, this I know.
Continuing to chase me far from home.
With my sword on my side,
and my cloak wrapped up tight.
I do my best to swallow up my pride.
And turn towards the men who I will fight.
I did nothing wrong.
I didn't lie nor steal.
But I was chased from home for far too long.
I tie off my horse and behind a bush I kneel.
Somehow they spot me,
before I can attack,
I make no effort to flee.
I fight long and hard, and push some men back.
There was nothing I could do,
a poor maiden as I.
I just couldn't take this crew.
and was in a cell in a blink of an eye.
Now here I am,
cold and alone.
all because of one great scam.
revenge, revenge, revenge I moan.
