you and i
You and I
A poem spoken in two voices
Girl:
I’m afraid of losing you.
Boy:
Why?
Girl:
You are the only person who gets me.
The only one who understands my thoughts
Feelings, demands, and moods.
There are other people
High school is a big place-
With many beautiful looking girls.
I don’t want to be the one searching,
For someone like you.
Because I know
There is no other person
Who could replace you in my life.
Boy:
I’m afraid of losing you too.
You are a pretty girl
who can easily make friends.
I’m afraid the minute we step in the
Big world of high school
You will swim in the deep wave of people
And I might not be able to rescue you,
because you’re too deep within.
I don’t want to lose you
To someone else
Because no one can complete me.
Don’t be afraid thought,
I’m always here for you.
It’s always scary at first.
Girl:
Well I'm afraid
Because I don’t ever want to lose you,
Boy:
You won’t
I promise you.
Girl:
Good,
Because I hate
hearing,
Seeing,
and being
me without you.
