Ode to Makeup
Cover Girl,
Loreal,
And Neutrogena.
Comes in a compact of colors
That can be found in a purse or on a dresser.
People use me like a marker to cover their true face
I’m like a rainbow,
That comes out after a rainy day.
As colorful as crayons to color your face
Dip,
Dash,
And brush
Is what I like to do
I see the powdery compact
I smell and taste the powder that’s in my face.
I smear the colors in circular motions
So it can be smooth on your face
To erase the bumps and blemishes without a trace.
