I don’t know if you hear me
I don’t know if you care
But if you can see me
Please let me know you’re there
I scream for you sometimes
But only at night
When I’m hurting and alone
I want you to make it all right
When I close my eyes and pray
I pray only to you
I pray for the day
I pray for the day you’ll pray for me too
Is it blasphemous?
To hold a mere mortal so high
Is it wrong to dream?
To sit up at night and cry
