Dear Soldier
They wash their hands of blood and war
Tell me what are they fighting for
Oh where have all the young boys gone
What sort of battle have we won--
I’ll be so silent, full of a despair
Living this life in fear of terror
Are we defending freedom, where?
My heart yearns for just one answer, one
They wash their hand of blood and war
Stay with me and we can still explore
our freedom through one another
and pretend that we have won
A war that has only just begun
Living life like it was before...
As we wash our hands of blood and war.
