Seaward On MAG
Crashing waves rock my ship from
side to side,
Lightning and thunder, yet I cannot hide,
For I captain this ship, no matter what weather may be,
I steer this wooden beauty to the ends
of the sea,
Storm calms down now, clear skies in
its end,
Made tough did the weather for me
to defend
This glorious ship that holds dearest to me,
I steer this wooden beauty to the end of
the sea,
This ship gives me shelter where I
do confide,
But when my ship needs me I never
will hide,
It’s been a long time now, and older I seem,
But I will still steer this ship to the ends
of the sea,
A huge storm approaches, yet sea’s end is
in sight,
If I could bear through it, well then I
just might
Be able to dock this one wooden, lovely being,
That I have all nearly steered to the end
of the sea,
A rogue wave approaching, don’t know
what will come,
First time I’ve ever thought my journey
undone,
As the wave approaches, and death shows clearly unto me,
I realize that this boat has really steered me.
