Mothers
They endure pain and discomfort for 9 months
And on our birthday, they struggle to give us life.
They are there for us since day one
They nurture us, protect us, and educate us
On our first day of school, they drag us to the bus stop
And as they tell us everything will be alright, we bawl our eyes out
Now it's our Mother crying as we set off to college
And us telling her that everything will be okay
When we are younger, our mom takes care of us when we get sick
Her voice is as comforting as the warm beef stew she brings us
She stays up all night at our side, praying that we will be better in the morning
Pretty soon, however, it'll be our turn to take care of her, make sure she is safe and that she takes her medication
And it will be our voice comforting her, and us at her bedside praying that she will be okay
That is why we have to show her how much we appreciate all the little things she dowse
A random act of kindness is all it takes: a chore completed, making dinner, or even bringing her flowers
But the most important chore of all is to always tell her how much we lover her…before it's too late.
