Let the Wind Take Her Away
She was beyond shadow of doubt
Letting go
And slowly fell up toward the
Brightly lit, blue summer sky.
She was alone and kept
Getting higher until
She was just a tiny spec drifting
Among the clouds.
She could see the world below her,
and it all just seemed
Too small, too far away.
It looked as if it were a giant
Puzzle perfectly placed together,
And if she went back
Now she wouldn’t fit in.
She had no one beside her
To comfort her so she stopped fighting
Back and just let everything go,
And let the wind
Take her away,
Somewhere unknown to her
So maybe she could be
Known to others.
