Tom

Tom crouches down, waiting,
just waiting until jerry comes scurrying past,
though being tricked before,
tom doesn't realize how fast the sneaky mouse is,
but tom is determined this time,
tom's eyes widen as jerry comes closer,
his muscles tense as he waits to pounce,
jerry goes running past then tom leaps,
tom got him,
but he didnt really,
jerry has tricked him for the last time,
its a fake mouse, a bomb,
just waiting to explode,
tom is so shocked he can't throw it,
there is nothing he can do,
...say goodbye to tom.

this is actually a metaphor poem...my dog had been hit by a car and was basically paralyzed, so i had to put her down.
