Never Let a Friend Cry
As daylight hits
The frosty ground
rain begins to fall
Washing away each remnant
Each token of fun
As dawn comes in
And a fire of sunlight
Sets alight our moon, with
frosty night beholden
We lose the sense of calm
And let our tears fall
But as a friend twines with another’s hand
And lets them know they care
They know that they must never let a friend cry
Not a sob or drop
As they know that this feeling
A feeling of friendship and belonging
Doesn’t come often
to everyone
and they never let a friend cry
