Night of Burning Emotions
Gathering around the fire light
As the embers fly and the coal burn.
My dream is almost reached,
The dream that someday just maybe
Our souls will be one once more.
The dream that the sorrow I live with,
I dream of, I see, will be gone.
Tonight, is the night that all pain is gone.
All love, hearts, and loss is to be nothing but a story.
Sitting under the stars with the fire keeping us warm,
we sing of our once lost yet, newly found love.
The wind hits our tent and only life itself is to separate
What we have created.
A bond between man and beast.
occurring only to make fate bring us back apart.
But maybe, just maybe life can be still.
Be still for just a few moments so that
we may live in this night of hatred peacefully
instead of fighting as our peers see us as enemies.
