Jewelry
I shake my hand and it jingles
Like sleigh bells tend to do
I wonder if you notice
That I’m wearing something new
You know I don’t like jewelry
I think it’s way too fake
And something about your expression
Tells me I’ve made a mistake
I know you don’t like my change
Because you never do
But this time I don’t care
It’s not up to you
If I really want to change
And you don’t think it’s me
Be patient, let me try it out
If it’s wrong, be sure I’ll see
I just want to test the waters
I’ll change back eventually
Besides it won’t kill anyone
It’s just some old jewelry
