Broken Angel
Her wings are broken, her heart is too. I try to fix it but I can’t break through. I broke her heart, I broke her soul. She fell to earth and she won’t let go. I tell her to go, I tell her to stay. She tells me she won’t and she looks away. I look at the sun, I look at the moon. She looks at the stars but she looks away too soon. She goes to the beach and sits in the sand. She plays in the water and she looks back to land. She sees someone she misses; the one she misses is me. She shakes her head and she looks back to sea. Her heart is torn, her soul is too. She can’t make up her mind; she doesn’t know what to do. She looks for guidance, all she sees is pain. With death all around, I’m calling her name. She runs to me, she grabs my arm. I pull her close to protect her from harm. I give her a kiss, she kisses me back. I tell her I love her, she tells me back. I tell her I’m sorry, she says it’s ok. All is forgiven, my broken angel is whole. finally a brighter day, now im playing my role
