At the ballet
Dark at night when people sleep,
Across the floor I spin and leap.
I like to dream I dance at the ballet,
My hallway is like my broadway.
One day I danced so long my toes were bleeding,
but I kept going because I was breathing.
I liked to jump high and low,
I even went through the motions in slow moe.
That night I danced so long my legs went jelly,
even my hair was all gross and sweaty.
I could barely walk but thats okay,
because I got to dance at my own ballet.
