My Fault

Sometimes I forget to take in my own feelingsI only do it because I care about you/And I know that this will take some healing/My apology is way overdue
I understand that I shouldn't have lied
I just thought you needed me
I wish that I could say that I didn't lie, the truth was just modified
I really wish that I wanted us to be
So now you know the truth
You can barely say a word
Maybe I can blame my youth
But I feel like it would go unheard
What I did was my fault
It's time I start acting like an adult
