I look at your picture
I see the pain in your eyes
Your body is formed around your bones
You’re 30 pounds underweight
They can see your ribs and hips
They say your temper is bad
That you’ll never find a home good enough
They wanted to put you out; out of this life
Then a miracle happened
This magnificent woman saved you
Brought you home
Fixed you up
And kept you here
