Found Poem (using This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab)
She didn’t even startle when,
the voice, low and smooth, almost hypnotizing
that didn’t quite pass for human
“Morning Doll.”
Her apartment was … cozy
not what James had in mind.
She looked over at him,
the expressionless planes of his face registered as confidence.
He looked like he belonged in a different world. A different life.
She kissed him, and he ducked out of her arms, the desire a hollow weight in his chest, like hunger.
He paused, hating how relieved he felt to be alone.
She chewed her lip wondering why he hid behind walls.
No wonder it wasn’t holding up.
It was the truth, but not the whole truth.

I wrote this using lines and segmants from the book listed in the title. I only changed some of the words to fit the message I was trying to portray.
