The Hill
The snow was packed down and ready to sled.
Kids from all around came down The Hill for the blast of wind
Time stood still as we flew down
And it felt like winter would never end.
The Hill was steep and fun to go down
But the climb back up was the challenge.
Others flew down while you hiked up
Trying not to get hit by oncoming sleds.
We would go down The Hill until the sunset
Staying all day until our parents made us leave.
Those were the good days with no pressures of life.
Living for the moment and not for the future.
Having fun with no consequences of failure.
Life goes fast like a sled down The Hill.
