Bright Boy
A smile illuminates on his already glowing face,
The sun shining behind him, making him
stand out above the spring grove grass over
the rolling hills below us.
And his eyes. His eyes, an enchanting
seawashed glass green. They make this
moment even more memorable. As I stand by
his side, my vanillin hand brushing over
the warm energy humming in his hands.
The sun is slowly rising over the horizon,
blending many colors into a mandarin mist.
Soft lime white wispy clouds are scattered
among the swirls of color slowly taking over
the sleepy sky. Yet, I can’t stop staring
at him.
