March of Prisoners MAG
Prisoners march solemnly
Down chalk-traced aisles
Would they but listen they'd hear
The jingling of metal keys
Along chalk-traced aisles
Guard dogs bark madly, mindless
Of the jingling of metal keys
Around an unsuspecting wrist
Guard dogs bark madly, mindlessly
Threatening to use their teeth as shackles
Around an unsuspecting wrist
To keep the prisoners in line
Threats to use their teeth as shackles
Are just unneeded precautions
To keep the prisoners in line –
They're already dead inside
All just unneeded precautions
Would you but listen you'd hear
Them, already dead inside,
Prisoners marching solemnly

"…because nerds like us are allowed to be unironically enthusiastic about stuff… Nerds are allowed to love stuff, like jump-up-and-down-in-the-chair-can’t-control-yourself love it. Hank, when people call people nerds, mostly what they’re saying is ‘you like stuff.’ Which is just not a good insult at all. Like, ‘you are too enthusiastic about the miracle of human consciousness’
