"Only the wounded <br /> Understand the agonies<br /> of the wounded, <br /> When the fire rages<br /> in the heart"<br /> ~Mirabai

The night sky is filled with the brightest sparkles and the beauty of freedom.
A girl’s decrepit hand reaches desperately from her home,
Which is made of rotted sugar and scones.
The Man of Bandages and Horror smirks viciously with his pencil sharp knife.
His teeth are missing, and have eyes spun with no life,
But filled with vile delusions of the occult.
Her decrepit hand then vanishes instantly into dust and ash.
Her glassy, light grey, eyes only look at the dark demonic path cracking, cracking
And wonders in her mind of shattered hopeless thoughts,
This is no yellow brick road…
Her deep purple, contusion filled legs, weak from the Man of Bandages and Horror,
Whips around, hard on the ground, scraping against each pull of gravity.
The smell of strong iron cascades the alley of vivid lights and sounds.
The flashing red lights begin to pump slower and slower like her heart.
Her last prayers were wept solemnly, knowing her bloody battle was finished.
The golden gates within the clouds open wide for the girl to see.

People gawk at the sight and whisper bittersweet judgments on the girl.
“She was only twelve, you see”
The crowd snickers while wearing golden shrines around their slim necks.
Protection that was not given to the girl laying lifelessly in the arms of none.
The people walk away distastefully,
While making a subtle horse clicking noise on the cracked concrete ground.
The Man of Bandages and Horror ominously cries overs the girl’s cracked face.
What a waste of good porcelain.
He thinks in his goopy tarred mind.
You could have been beautiful, my little tulip…
He throws the girl against a newly bricked wall scornfully.
Only wishing the girl was worth more money.

A Woman made of Leto and Psyche noticed a rotten corpse.
She sees it was thrown next to garbage cans from a flourishing doll-making shop.
The Woman runs feverishly towards the corpse,
Only to stop suddenly on the cracked concrete ground,
Just to hold the child in her motherly milky white arms.
She weeps a single tear on the corpse’s deformed, lacerated body.
She hums a sympathetic tune while kissing the missing pieces along the girl’s face.
The Woman’s pale face turns and realizes a deep horror,
Countless other bodies were stacked lifelessly next to the store.
Each body swallowed by the store’s greed for plentiful green trees.
She slowly finds the missing pieces belonging to the girl
And puts her pieces of the world back together.

This highlights the evils of Human Trafficking and how it affects the youth, especially in any country. It shows the beauty of these children and then being cast down immediately when someone else valves them less.
