Single Push
The kitchen was full of fragrances and herbs as if a garden of the heavens itself, steamed rice sat on the table as if proud of its making. The kettle on the stove slowly increased in hissing as if saying “I am awake!”; quickly a woman clothed in a traditional kimono that danced with colors of white and gold as if royalty rushed-into the room as if she was rushing to calm a small child after a fall-soon she reached the stove and calmed the screaming child with just a single push.

This was actually an assignment from my teacher. One of the first ones actually. I was so proud of it that I kept it!
