Whispers Of The Sea
I wait for you ,
Where the seagulls lie.
The sky ,
A shade of cobalt blue.
The tide moving in ,
Whispers of the conch shell.
Ringing in my ears ,
The sand softly shifting,
Away from my toes.
A periwinkle sea ,
As denim waves wash my feet.
I realize that ,
It’s just the pelicans and me.
Driftwood and seaweed ,
Floating upon the aquamarine waters.
As a blueberry night closes in.
I wait for you by the cornflower painted sand ,
Where my soul lies ,
Beneath the ocean strand…

This poem is inspired by the Brief walks , I take along with my grandparents,
near the pier and the seawall.
