Ground Rules
Making a mess is really gross
Doing chores I hate the most
It’s rules that were made up
To trick us kids to clean up
Wearing toe pinching shoes
That we don’t really like
Because we didn’t get to choose
But we couldn’t pick this fight
Straighten your crazy hair
Trust me, the boys will care
Strip down all the curls
Then dress up, and wear your pearls
Put dirty clothes in the washer
Wipe the dirt right off your face
Go and hold that posture
Then fold your hands with some grace
Always say please and thank you
Never ever say the words “I hate you”
Please and try to never fight
And always give me a hug to say goodnight
