Mistaken Love
This moment of strange silence and loneliness
Though sorrowful, gives a glimpse of reality
Of the bitter truth that there's no human soul
To hold my fingers in the journey of life.
Many a times I was wrong
Foolish enough to mistake your friendliness as love
But today do I realize with an aching heart
That never were you destined to be mine.
Love is an intense yet painful feeling
It strengthens my heart but weakens my soul
Carves an idiotic smile in my lips
On rewinding our moments of togetherness.
