A Day Into Night
The sun sets over the dewy field,
Sparkling. Striking. Vibrant.
Three words that describe these brief moments,
Three words that last a matter of minutes,
Three words that soon turn to nothing.
Fulfillness floods my body,
Something about the orange-yellow sky warms me,
The vibrancy intensifies, adding warmer tones,
The colors roared.
Darkness. Emptiness. Nothing.
All things great must come to an end,
Like a night sky following a sunset,
The sky has no more to give.
Burnout,
Eight hours until the next time,
The sun never misses a day.
Everyone strives to be a sun,
Repeating the same cycle every day,
Although some days we are not as vibrant,
We should all be like the sun.
