Painted nails
I paint my nails
green, red, blue
I paint my nails, to mask thoughts of you
Silly girl sitting and thinking of a boy
a boy who holds all of her in one fist
one fist that she loves so dearly
so dearly, consuming her every thought
thoughts of a silly girl
I wish not to be a silly girl
that's why I sit
I sit in this room
I paint my nails
to put other use to these overwhelming thoughts of you
But it never ends
my chest is still tight
my painted nails turn dry
green nails now red
worry infects my mind, love
sleep is the only escape from this heavy storm, love
Love, Love, Love
must be why I worry
Love
and when I wake
you won't even notice
my nails aren't green
my nails aren't red
my nails are blue
Blue, like the feeling of losing you
