Two tall shadows stood against
The rising sun’s brilliant glory
As it rose it made a halo of
Bright yellow
As if the tall shadows were more than just
Iron and glass!
Today will mark the beginning of a tragedy,
We will always remember!
As time goes we can only learn from our mistakes
And hope for the best
The pain caused on this special day
Could not be covered so easily because
Many people lost loved ones,
They lost friends
And people they have gotten to know in the future
But the opportunities were taken away
Because someone decided to try and cause
Damage and pain to the great nation of United States America!
Many died trying to save those
Who were trapped in the collapsing building!
The deaths of these people couldn’t be contained
But instead of groaning and complaining,
People turned to strangers and gave them a hug
People turned to friends just to tell them
How glad they were to have them near them!
People returned home and gave their families hug,
Kissed their spouses and held them close
Never wanting to let go of them for fear that they would go next!
Pride and patriotism filled the homes
Flags flew at half-stance to honor those who
Risked their lives willing to save those who were alive
And to honor those who died innocently because of a misdeed
Someone decided to do at the World Trade Center.
Many people sang songs to honor America and show
Their pride for their country.
We, as fellow citizen of a stricken country,
Should never forget the price that was paid in our place
We should thank God and our soldiers for keeping us safe
And free from prejudice and injustice
Many people go through in their countries!
We shouldn’t take things for granted,
But we do!
We shouldn’t mistreat each other so we can get what we want,
But we do!
We shouldn’t take things that aren’t ours, such as other people’s lives,
But we do!
We shouldn’t be cussing and swearing and threatening those who take care of us,
But we do!
There is so many things that we shouldn’t do,
But we do!
Why? Because we don’t always understand why things happen
Or how to handle it when it does happen.
We think we understand why things happen,
But we don’t!
We should the paper to stay informed,
But we don’t!
We know to treat others the way we want to be treated,
But we don’t!
We should give more respect to our leaders even though we don’t like them,
But we don’t!
Maybe we should start to since we only have one life!
We not only need to live life to the fullest
But also to the happiest!
This is in remembrance to the World Trade Center attack
In Manhattan, New York.
