Forgotten
Im falling as you walk away
searching, wandering astray,
Only the mask was visible to me,
It couldn't have been all I thought it to be.
Lost in your lies and in my dreams,
I was a small detail in your elaborate scheme.
You reiterate the words to someone new,
To begin the devastating cycle anew.
The bouquets you sent spoke for themselves,
Spoke to my heart, plastered on a shelf.
My once sprint reversed to a crawl,
I must restart up against the wall.
