Midnight Dance
The moonlight streams into my room
the only time that Im alone
I slip headphones in my ears
and instantly, I'm in my zone
It begins with a simple sway
back and forth, to the beat
Then a drag acrossthe floor
the melody so sweet
I bat-mah, pirouette, spin, twirl
a frenzied pace, so fun
Chaisse, tambe, sur le coup de pied
the verse is almost done
My fingers extend on my final note
the solo is complete
I crawl into bed and close my eyes
my own special treat
The craving is now satisfied
for 24 hours more
Until the sun will set again
and my heart can soar
