Running
Anger is his only friend
He's been running since God-knows-when
Running from the world he had
Trying to find the life he lost
Running down the open road
He silently makes himself an oath
To never fall again
For the tricks that lead him here
Running forwards, but running back
He makes the same mistakes again
Trying to find a home for blame
Making the same mistakes again
His pack is light, his burden heavy
He strains under the weight
But still he keeps running on
Running from his fate
Running to his fate.
