Awaken, World of Slumber
Ere day breaks,
with none but sound of fleeting,
for light falls prey,
resembling naught but what,
as past may say,
as it lays,
gentle embrace,
upon a sleeping world,
cast upon by fear, nay,
by their very onslaught of peers,
forever drowned,
by the whistling,
shadowing,
as a mirror may,
the image,
or perhaps just the thought,
of rubble,
so dear,
to yonder sunrise.
